ABOUT HANNAH
As a survivor of trauma and someone who has been in the trenches of addiction, I've navigated the depths of darkness and understand the power of recovery. My lived experience informs my approach and fuels my passion for supporting others who struggle with trauma, addiction, and nervous system dysregulation.

My journey into the world of recovery was born out of sheer desperation. After more than a decade of active addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and debilitating physical symptoms, I knew something had to change.

Removing substances from my life was only one small step in a very long and challenging process that took years to navigate and fine-tune. Recovery required me to grieve my addiction, confront the trauma that fueled it, and embrace post-traumatic growth. I slowly began to let go of the drugs, alcohol, antidepressants, birth control, and other medications that were simply masking symptoms and keeping me in a state of dysregulation. With no clear roadmap to guide me, I built and designed my own path to healing. Drawing from mindfulness-based addiction recovery and various somatic practices derived from my dance background and yoga training, I slowly began to reconnect with my mind and body. As I delved deeper into somatic exploration by studying the nervous system, the mind-body connection became the foundation for my own transformation and the work I now share with others. As a wellness practitioner with years of experience in the mental health field, I am committed to helping others navigate their recovery journeys with a greater sense of ease and safety.

My mission is to empower and guide individuals in bringing awareness to their nervous systems, finding safety in their bodies, building the capacity to resolve trauma, and rediscovering resilience.

In 2017, I traveled to Costa Rica for a yoga teacher training at Marianne Wells Yoga School. I am registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT) and have since expanded my expertise with trauma-informed training and continuing education in mental health and wellness. My job experience in this field includes working in a psychiatric hospital and a rehabilitation/treatment facility. I was a wellness group facilitator who guided clients through recovery support groups, trauma-informed yoga, breathwork, and meditation sessions. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including military veterans, first responders, sexual assault survivors, individuals from various cultural backgrounds, domestic violence survivors, and those facing addiction and mental health challenges.
